As LA rises as the world-class destination for art, LA Art Show continues to lead the way with innovative programming and one-of-a-kind experiences for an expanding collecting audience.
More than 200,000 square feet of exhibition space is committed to today’s prominent galleries. These domestic and international galleries, beyond their booths, curate special exhibits that are at the forefront of the burgeoning contemporary art movement. JT Burke at Fabrik Projects Gallery
"Tales of Vice and Virtue" is a new body of work I've recently begun. The images suggest stories and strange rituals using hand drawn symbols and unintelligible language. I've cut up collage bits and played with metal parts. Some are multi-layered and involve glue and pins and other odd items. Each piece is unique, and they're typically very ornate. It's a hands-on process that I really enjoy. "Tales of Vice and Virtue No 11" is shown above. You can see them all on my site.
I'll be showing the next set of "Tales" in person at the LA Art Show with my pals from Fabrik Projects Gallery next week at the LA Convention Center. Paid admission.
I hope that you can come by to see the new work and say hi.
