Halloween decorations have gone up. People are posting their ink drawings and paintings. It must be October. Show season is in full swing as well, with artists gearing up for selling season. Support your local artists during this period of time.

Friday marks the return of the 9th annual Highland Park Independent Film Festival. Check out their web site to see all the festivities over the 2 days the festival is on. Saturday you can check out Gil Cedillo’s final Latin Jazz Festival at Levitt Pavilion over in MacArthur Park.
Over at The Makery, my Little Tokyo studio space, we’re holding our monthly First Friday event this coming Friday. The show Dulcepalooza is closing, we’re having a performance with one of our local Taiko drummer troupes, and there will be tacos. Come on by.
