Once trick or treating has ended, it’s officially the holiday season. I drove by a house with their Christmas lights up already. People need normal. The holidays can feel like normal. Go with it. Anyway, holiday season means shopping and eating. For your shopping needs, consider buying from an artist. Not only will you get something unique and of course, handmade, but you’ll help that artist and not a big box store, or worse yet, Amazon. Check around your local stores, or look for holiday shows. I know I’m doing as many as I can. I made a lot of stuff during the pandemic. Anyone need some glass?
And don’t forget all the art that’s out there. Fortunately most shows are in person, finally! And as of this month you must show your vaccination card to get into most venues, restaurants, and other larger businesses. Fine with me. Ask away, I’m ready. Are you? I know my buddy Linda Kaye is. We were out recently and had to show those cards. I was excited. And about that LInda…she handles Poet’s Place every month here at LA Art News. Go over there and check it out.
